FIMCP, the Finnish Institute of Mass Customization and Personalization, was founded 25th November 2003 to foster research and interaction on mass customization and personalization. Bringing together researchers, practitioners and financiers to jointly develop Mass Customization blueprint in Finnish environment.
Current efforts
FIMCP ry has participated in preparation of research and development project MASSI, which is concentrating on
ICT enabled mass customization strategies in Finnish technology industries. Massi project is a joint effort
of School of Economics and Business Administration at University of Tampere, Institute of Industrial
Management at Tampere University of Technology, Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation (TEKES),
Technology Industries of Finland ry, and multiple companies.
FIMCP is organizing for a third time Mass Customization and Personalization Forum, this time in Espoo, near Finland's capital Helsinki.
